Purpose of the hydraulic filter:
The hydraulic filter is designed to clean the oil of hydraulic systems from harmful inclusions, which contributes to less wear of mechanisms, increases their efficiency and reduces the likelihood of premature failure.
Structure of the hydraulic filter:
Hydraulic system oil filters are replaceable inserts that are inserted into a collapsible housing. Depending on the requirements of the hydraulic system, they contain filtering partitions made of metal mesh (low filtration efficiency, possibility of regeneration) or special filtering materials reinforced with metal mesh (high filtration efficiency and resistance to pressure pulsation).
Principle of operation of the hydraulic filter:
After starting the engine, the oil pump starts working, which ensures the circulation of the hydraulic system oil from the tank to the working parts. Before entering the working parts, the oil passes through the filter element of the hydraulic filter, being cleaned of harmful inclusions. When the filter element becomes dirty, the bypass valve is activated, which ensures the supply of oil to the working elements bypassing the filter element. The check valve holds the oil in the filter when the system is not operating in order to ensure a quick establishment of the set pressure in the system during engine start-up.
